catom can haul it

We have been redefining heavy hauling since 1979 and our commitment to value every haul, every time has cemented us as leaders in heavy haul trucking. We take pride in our flatbed hauling services, safe heavy haul trucking record and extensive inventory of heavy hauling trailers. In addition to our fleet of 25 trucks (and counting!), we maintain a substantial stock of trucking equipment that enables us to tackle every heavy haul. An overview of our equipment is featured below. Please contact us with any specific questions or your needs surrounding specialized carriers.

48FT Trailers

48ft step deck trailers

These trailers have a lower ride height than many (30-40 inches from the ground) and are helpful in accommodating taller loads. We often use them to haul parts loads for excavators such as counterweights, boom sections, kelly bars and buckets. Our step deck trailers can hold a lot and are very versatile for general heavy equipment hauling.

48ft flatbed trailers

Our flatbeds have a higher ride height than our step deck trailers. We often use them to haul equipment such as lattice crane booms, steel beams, steel pipe, high-tension steel power line poles and other items best suited for flatbed heavy hauling services.

53FT Trailers

53ft step deck trailers with fold down ramps in rear

This trailer is similar to our 48ft step deck but includes fold down ramps in the back. These ramps allow us to drive a piece of equipment up the ramps to be loaded onto the trailer.

53ft sliding tri-axle tilt bed trailers

Tilt bed trailers are used similarly to step deck transport but have the ability to slide the axles forward and tilt the bed down to decrease loading angle. These trailers are ideal for moving larger forklifts with low ground clearance and man lifts. Tilt bed trailers are also equipped with winches that help us to load equipment like shipping containers or equipment that is out of service.

53ft tri-axle extendable step deck trailers

With the ability to extend the lower deck 42’-62’ in 5’ increments coupled with its low ride height, this trailer is a versatile piece of equipment. We commonly use these trailers as step deck trailer transport to haul switch houses, casing pipe, and the leader assembly from drill rigs.

53ft tri-axle extendable flatbed trailers

Similar to a traditional flatbed hauling, but the ability to adjust the length 53’-90’ in 5’ increments allows us to haul items like bridge beams, power line poles and railroad track sections.

Double-drops, Dollies, Lowboys

Mechanical double drop trailers with 30ft in the well

Our mechanical double drop trailers allow us to remove the front neck of the trailer to load equipment on from the front. Because of its low ride height, this trailer is ideal for taller loads. Crated machinery, small excavators and large casing pipe are common loads for this trailer.

Mechanical double drop extendable trailer

This trailer is similar to the mechanical double drop trailer above, but the lower deck extends to 50ft in the well (5ft increments), accommodating larger pieces of equipment.

2 and 3-axle Jeep dollies for use with tow-behind machinery

These dollies allow us to haul heavier items like concrete crushers and steel shredding equipment. The dollies add more axles, therefore more weight is allowed. This is especially helpful for interstate heavy haul equipment transport weight limits.

Hydraulic RGN lowboy trailers

Our wide range of lowboy haul transport equipment includes configurations from 5 to 13-axles, deck lengths from 25-55ft, flush decks and raised rails. We commonly use lowboys to haul construction equipment, excavators, cranes, transformers or even helicopters and airplanes! Our lowboys form the bulk of our hauling services inventory, which allows for many different configurations that enable us to be specialized carriers for pretty much anything and everything — even a few planes and helicopters!

For transformers, skid steers, tanks and more

Beam trailers inserts (configurations from 6-axles to 13-axles)

Our beam trailers are essentially a lowboy with the deck replaced with a beam insert which allows us to reduce the height of a load to as low as 3 inches from the ground. We offer beam lengths from 28ft to 32ft with this trailer.

Perimeter beam trailers (configurations from 6 to 13-axles with 10’x 25’ inside dimension)

The main structure of these trailers is on perimeter of the load. We often use these for heavy equipment transport of transformers or large pieces of casing pipe, and they offer another way for us to reduce load height of heavier loads.

13-axle rear steerable trailers with 32ft raised rail insert and perimeter beam insert with 11’x30’ inside dimension

Have a tight area on your site? Since we can steer the back of this trailer, it is a great option for equipment that needs to get into tighter situations. The 13-axles on this trailer allow us to haul heavier equipment such as transformers, but they can be used for a wide variety of heavy equipment transport services.

Rollback trailers

Our rollback truck features a 30ft tilt bed with a 25,000 lbs. winch that assists in heavy equipment transport of skid steers, scissor lifts, 20ft shipping containers and smaller pieces of construction equipment.

6800 gallon and 6200 gallon water tankers

Our tankers are equipped with 4” gas-powered trash pumps. These heavy haulers are mostly used in support of drilling/hydro excavation crews, but we also use them to fill portable on-site water tanks.

They have the ability to handle the high volume and fast pace of the wide range of equipment I need moved... Catom has consistently out-performed the other haulers as they deliver as promised each and every time.
